Cable Installer / Tech
TEK systems has an opportunity for a reliable and experienced cable installer in the Salt Lake City area. Pay is competitive and based on experience. Candidates should have experience with terminations, installations, cable color codes, and punchdowns as minimum qualifications. Experience with CAT-5 is a must. Fiber and copper experience is a plus.
Other responsibilities include:
- Pulling and placing cabling in buildings, underground, tunnels and aerial pole lines.
- Technician will be responsible for pulling cable, terminate and punchdown.
- Prefer experience working in a communication closet.
- Must be able to work on ladders, scaffolding and man lifts.
- This position requires the candidate to have the ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
- Work may be located in confined spaces and in extreme temperature ranges.
- Install/Pull voice and data cable.
- Should own basic tools: snips, strippers, screw drivers, punch down tool, boots (steel toe preferred), goggles, and hard hat.
Must have reliable transportation. Local candidates are preferred.
