Intrusion Detection Engineer
TEKsystems, the largest IT staffing company in the US, is looking for an experienced Cisco Security Consultant for a critical opportunity with one of our key clients. This position is not posted on the companies website.
THe qualified consultant should have 4 years Security experience. They'll be responsible for supporting and monitoring clients network security infrastructure. Candidate will be responsible for validating attacks against clients network, assessing the impact., make any countermeasures, appropriate recommendation and implement the resolution. The consultant will be responsible for defining, tracking and maintaining the standard baselines/configuration sets of all managed and/or monitored security devices. They'll be responsible for implementing industry best practices with regards to the following: firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN and network configurations.
Consultant must be proficient with: Cisco IDS/IPS, Cisco Pix, Checkpoint NG, Nokia IPSO, Juniper/Netscreen Firewall, Snort IDS, Syslog analysis and Windows/Linux/Unix Security configurations.
Consultants with the following would be preferred: B.A. in tech field or equivalent combination of education, training, work experience or any of the following certifications: CCSP, CISSP, CCSA, CCSE, CCNP+S, CCIE Security Written, GIAC
This is structured as a 2 year contract in a 24 x 7 support environment. Positions are available for all shifts, so candidates must be flexible as shifts are subject to change based on performance and meeting the business needs
