Reporting Analyst
LMC Professional Analyst- responsible for the use of the OSS toolsets to analyze and interpret the health of the Network particularly using Auspice and Market Health Tools. This will also include some SNMP application modeling as well as aiding in the integration and use of OSS tools to the LMC surveillance group. Responsible for working with the LMC management team and the LMC technicians to document and integrate new and existing toolsets and procedures into the LMC
Responsible for utilizing toolsets to determine the health of the Comcast HFC and IP Networks. The Analyst needs to use the toolsets for detection, isolation, and diagnosis of problems that will affect customer's services on the broadband network and plant. - Provide support through analysis and reports to improve reliability of cable broadband processing systems, outside HFC plant, and problem ticketing applications. - Aid in the development of web based applications to improve the efficiencies of the market's LMC to provide real time trouble analysis. - Automate the production of reports for the LMC. - Carry a pager or phone for 24 x 7 supports. - Punctual, regular and consistent attendance.
Minimum Requirements - Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent 2-5 years experience. - Familiarity with Auspice or other Web Base applications. Have a working knowledge of relational databases, SQL, XML, scripting and web programming languages. - Ability to pay close attention to detail. - Knowledge of Power networks, Packet cable data and IP telephony - Familiar with HFC cable plant and head end operations. - Understand networking and routing and SNMP nibs.
